Gulet Charters from Fethiye
The home of the classic Twelve Islands route. Sheltered, family-friendly, and dense with the kind of pine-fringed bays that put Turkey on every blue-cruise list. The wooden, full-crewed, two-masted boats Turkey is famous for. The original blue-cruise format — most of our 200+ vessel directory is gulet.
Gulet charters from Fethiye are the natural pairing for travellers who already know which boat type they want and which Turkish port they want to start in. This page filters our directory to exactly that intersection — every gulet based in Fethiye that's bookable through MaviSail.
Fethiye sits in a deep, protected gulf — a calm starting line. Within a day's sail you're in the Twelve Islands cluster (Yassıca, Tersane, Domuz), Göcek's sheltered bays, or south toward Butterfly Valley and Ölüdeniz. The cruising radius is small but the bay density is the highest in Turkey, which is why families and first-time charterers gravitate here.
A gulet is a Turkish wooden charter boat — typically 25–45m, two masts (usually motorsailed rather than sailed under canvas), beamy enough for spacious cabins and big deck areas. Built in the boatyards of Bodrum and Marmaris, sailed by Turkish crews, fed from a galley that's usually one of the trip's highlights.

Domande frequenti
Per gulet charters in fethiye.
How long is the Twelve Islands route?
A week is standard — depart Saturday from Fethiye, loop Yassıca / Tersane / Domuz / Göcek bays, return Saturday. Captains adapt the order based on wind. Two-week trips usually add the Lycian coast eastward to Kekova.
Is Fethiye good for families with young kids?
Yes — it's one of the more child-suitable Turkish ports. Short distances, sheltered bays, captains used to family rhythms (early dinners, swim ladders, beach time). Look for vessels with shallow swimming platforms.
Are gulets actually sailed, or just motored?
Honestly, mostly motored. The rig is real but the trip isn't a sailing trip — it's a swimming-and-eating trip with sail-assist when wind allows. If you want to actually sail, look at a sailboat or catamaran charter instead.
How comfortable are the cabins?
Most modern gulets have ensuite double cabins with proper queen beds, A/C, and decent storage. Older or budget vessels can be smaller and noisier (the air-con sometimes kicks off at night when the generator is off). Always check year built / refit on the listing.
