How MaviSail works

MaviSail is a charter concierge and directory, not a travel agent. We catalogue 200+ gulets, catamarans, and motor yachts across the Turkish Aegean and Mediterranean, and we handle the conversation between you and the operator until you're ready to book.

The actual charter contract is held by the operator's agency — almost always a TURSAB-licensed Turkish travel agency, the regulator that licenses every legitimate charter company in Türkiye. They take the deposit, issue the charter agreement, and handle the on-water service. We earn a commission from the agency for the introduction.

MaviSail Ltd is not the contracting party for any charter, and we never hold guest funds in escrow. That's the partner agency's job, with their TURSAB licence and insurance backing the booking.

Why we run it this way

Three reasons, each genuinely better for you than the alternative of buying direct or through a generic OTA:

• You don't pay a deposit until your captain confirms. Generic OTAs take a deposit on click and refund only if the operator declines. We never take the deposit ourselves; the partner agency only invoices once the captain has accepted your dates.
• One concierge, every operator. Most operators speak Turkish, some German, a few English. We reply in EN, TR, RU, or DE within 4 hours during Istanbul business hours, and we relay your questions to the operator on your behalf.
• The contracting party is licensed in Türkiye. If anything goes wrong on the water, you're dealing with a TURSAB-regulated entity in the same jurisdiction as the boat — not a UK marketplace whose hands are tied.

MaviSail Ltd is a private limited company registered in England & Wales. We disclose the partner agency for every vessel that has one (visible on the listing page).
