Frequently asked questions

Common questions about the Bodrum Aegean Loop route.

Can we extend this to a week?

Yes. The most natural extension loops east along the Datça peninsula to Bozburun and back to Bodrum, making a 7-day Aegean trip.

Is Cleopatra Beach really named after Cleopatra?

Local legend, not history — but the beach is real, the white pebbles are unique to that bay, and you can swim ashore.

Will the meltemi force route changes?

July-August: yes, occasionally. The captain may delay the Bodrum-Cleopatra crossing until late afternoon when winds drop, or skip Knidos in favour of more sheltered anchorages. June and September are reliable.

Can we visit Datça wineries?

Yes — half a day ashore from Datça town. Captain or marina arranges a taxi to one of the family-run vineyards. Tastings €15–25 per person.

Is the boat large enough for a corporate group?

Depends on group size. For 10–12 people, a mid-size gulet is ideal. For 15+, request the larger 8-cabin boats specifically — see vessels filtered by Bodrum on /vessels?home_port=bodrum.
